Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga
Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga is a powerful and dynamic form of yoga for a strong and energetic body and a clear mind. This form of yoga consists of a set of positions (called the primary series). Movements and breathing are synchronized. Supported by the (ujjayi) breathing a flow of movements is generated. This intensive way of moving creates a lot of heat, which makes you sweat and this has a purifying affect on your organs and muscles.
Your breathing is your meditation during this yoga practice. During the hour long lessons, a shortened exercise is being practiced. Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga has a positive affect on: stamina, strength, breathing, concentration, balance and your flexibility. This lesson is suitable for people that find the spiritual and also the physical aspect important and are looking for a physical challenge. In the longer lessons the full primary exercises are being practiced.


Hatha Yoga
Hatha Yoga is a calm form of yoga, which forms the basis for the lesson. Hatha Yoga is suitable for everyone. By doing multiple positions, breathing and exercises, one is learning to relax physically and mentally. The Hatha Yoga teachers at Yoga Spirit are all trained differently and therefore, each have their own style of the form.
Do In Yoga
Do In is a calm yoga form which originates in China under the influence of the Taoism and eastern medicine. The basis of the lesson consists of positions, which are also practiced in other lessons at Yoga Spirit. These exercises are developed by including self-acupressure, meditative or breathing exercises. The order of the different sections of the lesson enables you to relax and purify your body.
Poweryoga
Poweryoga, or Vinyasa Flow is a powerful and dynamic form of yoga for a strong and healthy body. Poweryoga originates from Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga and elements from other yoga forms are added. A poweryoga lesson is different from an Ashtanga Vinyasa lesson because there is more diversity of the flow in the lesson. Poweryoga has a positive affect on stamina, strength, flexibility, breathing, concentration and balance. This lesson is suitable for people that find mental and physical health important.
Perfect Pilates
Perfect Pilates is a unique training form that has existed for years. Joseph Pilates (1880-1967) developed this method. Karl Noten (the fitness guru of the Netherlands) is the founder of Perfect Pilates. The teacher, Eva, followed her Pilates training at FysioPhysics. The Perfect Pilates lesson at Yoga Spirit are a unique mix of Pilates exercises combined with Eva's background in Yoga and Sport, which makes the Perfect Pilates lesson very versatile.
From the basis, which is a good posture, you slowly work on more strength, agility and balance between mind and body. After a lesson of Perfect Pilates your body feels better and full of energy!

Primary Series
The Primary Series is the complete set of positions from the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. The special and challenging lessons, which last 1.5 hours, can be done on Monday night and Saturday morning. During the Monday night lesson there is time for the intermediate level as well.
Mysore Style Yoga
Mysore Style Yoga is a form of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga where you do self practice in the whole first Ashtanga Vinyasa series. This lasts between 1.5 - 2 hours. Participants are expected to be experienced in the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. The teacher will help you with adjustments where it's needed.
